Asturfeito continues to move forward with its capacity expansion plan through the development of new facilities at the Port of Avilés, a strategic investment that will further strengthen the company’s industrial capabilities.
Located on a plot of more than 13,000 square metres, these new facilities will be dedicated to the fabrication, assembly, testing and shipment of large-scale equipment, with no limitations in terms of size or weight thanks to their direct access to the quay. This privileged location will significantly enhance Asturfeito’s logistics capabilities for the handling and transport of heavy and oversized components.
A major milestone in the project has already been reached with the installation of the gantry cranes, which provide a total lifting capacity of 200 tonnes and a maximum lifting height of 25 metres. In the coming months, a large canopy structure will also be installed to cover a significant part of the area, enabling indoor operations and further improving working conditions and operational flexibility.
This development is part of a broader investment roadmap through which Asturfeito is reinforcing its competitive position by expanding and modernising its industrial resources. In addition to new facilities, the company is investing in advanced machinery, production process optimisation, digitalisation and training, with the aim of continuing to meet the evolving demands of highly demanding sectors and projects.
With this new step, Asturfeito reaffirms its commitment to sustainable industrial growth, technological improvement and the continuous enhancement of its capabilities for the future.
