During October, on World Breast Cancer Month, Asturfeito celebrated the Pink Challenge, an initiative promoted by our internal programme Sportfeito, with the aim of promoting healthy habits, camaraderie, family activities and solidarity within the company.
The activity was simple: for every kilometre travelled by bike, running or walking, the company donated an amount to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). The activities were recorded through Strava and shared in a club created for the challenge, doubling the money raised on the activity if they were made with a family member or co-worker.
The result was exceptional:
- 5,527.65 kilometres covered
- 40 employees participating
- €3,000 donated to the AECC

In gratitude for this initiative, an acknowledgement act took place between Antonio Flecha and Julio González, representing the AECC, and Belarmino Feito and Pablo Feito, representing the participants of the Challenge and Asturfeito.
Sport, health and solidarity
This challenge has proved that sport at Asturfeito is more than just a hobby. It has been an opportunity to connect colleagues from different centres, develop positive habits, rack up kilometres with family or friends… and do it all with a common purpose: to collaborate in the fight against cancer.
