Asturfeito to contribute to the PALLAS project, a strategic infrastructure for the future of nuclear medicine

08.06.26 – Asturfeito will take part in the PALLAS project, the new research reactor being developed in Petten, the Netherlands, which will play a key role in the future of nuclear medicine and the secure supply of medical isotopes.

The company will contribute to this programme alongside NRG PALLAS, FCC and the wider project team, bringing its industrial capabilities and broad experience in the manufacturing of complex equipment for nuclear projects and major scientific infrastructures.

The PALLAS project represents a strategic infrastructure for Europe. Its purpose is to help secure the future supply of medical isotopes, which are essential for the diagnosis and treatment of different diseases. It is therefore a project whose impact goes beyond industry, being directly connected to healthcare innovation, research and patient care.

For Asturfeito, this award represents an important milestone and a further recognition of its ability to participate in international projects with high technical, documentary and quality requirements. The programme combines advanced manufacturing, coordination with multiple stakeholders, compliance with nuclear standards and rigorous execution across all phases.

“Being part of the PALLAS project is a source of pride for Asturfeito. It represents exactly the type of projects we are committed to: complex, technically demanding and with a meaningful impact on society,” the company stated.

Asturfeito’s participation in PALLAS reinforces its positioning in the nuclear sector and consolidates its track record in projects where precision, safety, quality and execution capability are critical.

Asturfeito approaches this new stage with responsibility, commitment and the determination to contribute to the success of a key infrastructure for the future of nuclear medicine in Europe.
