Advanced manufacturing of thick parts for the renewable energy sector
REF: IDE/2024/000482
The objective of this project is to study and design the incorporation of robotic welding processes in thick joints. It also aims to implement advanced scanning systems, typical of quality operations, in the welding process to facilitate the development of multi-pass welding programmes.
This project has been funded by SEKUENS (Agency for Science, Business Competitiveness and Innovation of the Principality of Asturias) and by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Study of new welding technologies to improve efficiency in the manufacture of large parts for the offshore energy sector
REF: IDE/2023/000410
The aim of the project is to incorporate new welding processes associated with:
a) The study of finite element simulation techniques that enable deformation to be predicted.
b) Submerged arc welding (SAW) processes in deep thicknesses and circular geometries.
This project has been funded by SEKUENS (Agency for Science, Business Competitiveness and Innovation of the Principality of Asturias) and by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
