The goals of these investments are to increase medium and large-scale precision machining capacity, to reduce production times, part handling and movements, to increase logistical efficiency, and to tackle projects of even greater complexity and scale.
A unique machine for our main workshop
A Pietro Carnaghi UNIMILL gantry milling machine with turning plate is currently being installed at the PEPA facilities, placing the company at the forefront of machining in Europe and worldwide:
- Travel: X axis 32,000 mm · Y axis 12,500 mm
- Distance between columns: 11,000 mm
- Maximum part height: 6,500 mm
- Turning plate/table: Ø 8,000 mm
- Maximum external turning Ø: Ø 22,000 mm
- Capacity on turntable: 200 t
- Machine weight: 900 t
To complement these capabilities, the workshop will also incorporate a new 100 t overhead crane, reinforcing the safe handling of large subassemblies and improving internal load flows.

Tabaza facilities have added two advanced machining centres and a vertical lathe, expanding the range of parts we can manufacture and improving efficiency:
WFL M120 (multifunction machine)
This fast and precision machine can perform horizontal turning, boring, milling, internal machining and deep drilling. Some of its features are:
- Max. turning diameter: 1,220 mm
- Max. workpiece dimensions: 4,000 mm | 7,000 kg
- Axes: 5+1 (X, Y, Z, C, B + W)
- Boring up to 1,700 mm
- Monoblock bed inclined at 60°
BOST VTL-3000 Premiun Vertical Lathe
This multi-tasking machine will be complemented by a robust lathe from Spanish lathe manufacturer BOST Premium Lathes with the following characteristics:
- Operations: vertical turning + milling (milling head).
- Capacities: max. turning Ø 3,600 mm, max. workpiece height 3,200 mm, max. load 30 t, table Ø 3,000 mm.
- Axes/travel: Z (RAM) 1,600 mm, W (Crossrail) 1,800 mm, C-axis (resolution 0.001°).
- Drives: main spindle 74 kW / 77,257 Nm / 140 min⁻¹; milling unit 63 kW / 2,043 Nm / 4,000 min⁻¹.
- Tooling and metrology: CAPTO C8, universal and vertical head, 100-tool carousel, internal cooling 70 bar and Renishaw RMP60 probe.

A versatile machining centre with integrated lathe plate:
- Operations: 5-axis milling + integrated turning (FD plate).
- Max. turning diameter: 1,050 mm
- Max. workpiece dimensions: 3,200 mm | 4,000 kg
- Axes: 5+1 (X, Y, Z, C, B + W)

Asturfeito on the quay
Asturfeito is building new facilities in the Port of Avilés with direct access to the quay, designed to make the supply of large equipment more efficient and to access new markets.
- Plot: 14,000 m²
- Covered area: 3000 m²
- Overhead cranes up to 200 t and a hook height of 20 m
This location eliminates size and weight restrictions on shipments and deliveries, shortens logistics times and facilitates large-scale testing and assembly. With excellent lifting capacities, this new facility will enable the execution of any project.
